Drop Down Menu and radio buttonsAsked by Ivan on November 25, 2013 at 07:59 AM
I want to know if there is a standard template that has a drop down menu that offers me the option to integrate each attribute I write in one drop down menu to work with the next drop down menu for example:
Drop down menu 1: Let's say I click and choose an option for an iphone 4 case out of 8 cases on this list
Drop down menu 2 : ( I offer only 4 colors for the iPhone 4 case) out of 7 colors available.
Is there a way to have the other colors hide automatically that are not available when I select the iPhone 4 case in drop down menu 1.
So the colors are different from each option from the Dropdown 1? If yes, then there are two options;
1. Create another Color Dropdown for each specific option from your Dropdown 1.
Just an additional information with regards to the 2nd option of using the source codes, since you have a few options, the codes are different and may take some time for me to finish. So please let me know if you want that option so I can bookmark this and start later. Here's or guide for getting your form source codes: How to Get Form Source Codes.
I have 8 different phones. This means I have to make 8 additional drop down boxes? This is going to make the form really long.
Good Day Mate I want to try to help here in your issue right now. As far as I know there is no conditional function that will show and adjust a certain field value, yet you can do play the conditional statements inside jotform instead, for you to understand please click the link below I created a video guide for you to understand..
I hope this helps you out from your problem mate..
Good Luck!! ^_^
Yes, using the first method would require you to add 8 additional dropdown. But the second method I proposed would only required you a single dropdown. BUT, you need to use the form source codes (How to Get Form Source Codes) since we will apply the custom scripts from there. After you add the custom scripts, you will need to embed it to your page OR save it as an HTML file then use it as an iFrame to your page. You can use iFrame Generators such as: http://www.iframeeditor.com/. The URL/Website box should be the HTML file of the source codes.
