Multiple Persons Who Complete The Form?

Asked by heathersl on November 26, 2013 at 02:29 AM

I have created a services form (http://form.jotform.ca/form/33291106959257) where an office worker will complete the first part of the form with job details, and send the form to the tech who is to perform the service to complete and submit.

I have used {edit link} with the autoresponder to alert the tech to the job - but here is my problem: I need the office worker (and several others) to be sent a copy of the form when it's first sent (notification one, FROM: Office Worker), AND when the tech completes and submits the finished form (notification two, FROM: Tech)

I have it set up so that when the OW completes her portion, she hits "submit to tech", triggering the email notification and the autoresponder (for lack of a better solution). How do I force the second and final submission button to use a different email setup?

    Please help!

    Hi there,

Please correct me if I've misunderstood your question.

You can create conditions to trigger specific email notifications if a certain field is filled.

    Here's how:

Regarding on editing the submission, note that this won't trigger any autoresponder email. However there's a trick here, instead of using an autoresponder, use notification and write the email field tag as the recipient. So whenever the edit submissions is re-submitted, it will trigger these notifications.

    Here's how:

    1. First, get the tag of your email field. Right click > Show Properties > Copy the field tag e.g. {email3}. Check the image below:

    2. Create a new notification (this will served as your form autoresponder)

    3. Open the created notification and paste the copied email field tag on the email recipient box of the new notification created.

Hope this helps. Get back to us if you need further assistance or if there's anything I've missed here. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your help - it's not exactly what I needed, but I managed to cobble together a solution using multiple notifications and autoresponders.

Now - if you could get tables enabled, or variable matrix entries, or more flexible conditions, or grid layout, or, or, or ... ;)

Very much appreciated - love JotForm!

    @heathersl

That's great, glad you've figured that out.

Regarding on the matrix table, we have it, it's under survey tools if that's what you're referring. If not, please open a new thread and provide more details so we can assist you further.

Thanks for the love and regards! =)

No new thread needed - I was referring to an editable/adjustable matrix or table - ie column one drop down/column two text box/column three number field, etc. I know that many, many others have requested this, as I've found their threads while looking for a solution. :)
