PDF version (to be used in case of emergency with some url firewall blocking issues): no WYSIWIG alignment of the PDF to the web form: some fields are missing or misplaced, don’t know why…

Is this issue related to the last two fields in PDF Document?

To resolve the issue, please rearrange the form fields in your PDF Document or crate a new PDF Document. The new Document will have the same order of the field as your online form.

I tried it when occurring the problem, but after not seeing any difference I abandoned such a trial, thinking of a malfunction bug.

I retried just when you provided me the hints above, but still did not not see fields' sequence alignment on the empty document to be filled: just in the filled ones (as it was also at the beginning).

So after deleting original pdf form I created a new one, but, after taking so long to generate it, the following warning appeared:

So I am pretty sure missing fields depend just on having used some third party widgets, in order to give a better UX to respondents.

But, since all the data in tye end are forced into a table, you should find a way to give automatically a smooth compatible field version according to the best similar class of input needed.

Please, have a further check and let me know. But any further reply tomorrow: I am going to leave the office now.

    Thanks!

Based on your screenshot I see that you are creating a Fillable PDF Form, not PDF Document. Do you need a Fillable PDF Form or PDF Document?

The Fillable PDF Form is .pdf version of your online form that can be filled and submitted with a PDF Reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader or Foxit Reader.

The PDF Document is a PDF that will contain submitted data.

Please note that widgets are not supported in Fillable PDF Forms, which is the reason you saw that warning message when creating a Fillable PDF Form.

If your issue was related to PDf Document, please create a new PDF Document, not PDF Form.

Yes! I need a fillable PDF form (not a pdf version of single results = PDF Document), to be sent to respondents with URL firewall blocking issues (and/or similar) just in case of emergency.

Thx for the link with the hints. But... before decaying further extra time to fix pdf issues (I must also deal with other stuff with my job, you know...), I need to know :

    1. if I change the Fillable PDF, does it affect the running web version?
    2. if done what in #1, does the table collect data into the same columns?
    3. if not happening what supposed in #2: is there a way to pair collected data with a default widget in place of third party currently used and working fine?

If all affirmative what above I could evaluate to invest some more extra time to setup a parallel PDF survey: on the opposite, at this time for me it's totally useless, sorry.

Of course I invite again your R&D to insist in finding a way to guarantee a smooth degrade from web to pdf fillable versions. On the opposite, please accept only third party widgets behaving correctly and 100% compliant with dataset gathering on both surveying ways.

    Hi,

yes, changing the fillable PDF in the PDF Editor will also change the web version. And yes, the table will collect data into the same column from both versions.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have further questions.
