How do I pull local weather data to populate a field?

I'm creating a daily report form for our field staff and would like to have the weather conditions populate automatically. Nothing fancy, just the temperature and cloudy, windy, sunny etc.

    Hi,

You can prepopulate the fields via query strings. Check out our "Prepopulating Fields to Your JotForm via URL Parameters" guide if you want to know more.

Let us know if this fits your requirements.

That answer just tells me how to get info from a form. How does that help me? I want to pull the daily temperature from Google or another source.

On the contrary, the guide actually shows how to get info into the form. That being said, you can push data into the form, but there's no feature nor widget that can pull weather data from an external source.

If you have further questions, let us know.

Please forward my question to someone else that will actually try to help me figure out these extremely vague and non helpful instructions instead of just repeating themselves

Hello Belle, unfortunately we don't have any widget or feature for weather forecast.

If you're using script codes for weather app, you can edit the form's source code and add your script codes.

    Guide:https://www.jotform.com/help/104-how-to-get-the-full-source-code-of-your-form

You may then upload the form to your server for it to work.
