    Hi Jotform team,

Our company using Jotform Smart PDF form to collect applications. We face a problem and do not know how to change the settings to solve it. We make some Jotform Smart PDF form. When someone fill the form the content will fill into the PDF and send the PDF file to the notification E-mail. However, after we test the form, we find that the PDF will disappear when some file are uploaded in the form. Here are the picture. Without uploading the files, we can get the PDF file which start with 49*********.pdf. With the uploading files, the E-mail can only receive the uploading files without the pdf form.

How can we change the settings to get both PDF form and uploading files in the notification email?

    Here is our setting.

Hello! Kindly note that there is a limit of 5MB on the email attachments. If the uploads and PDF files (combined) exceed this limit of 5MB; then the the attachments are discarded and and only text email is sent.

If you see the following message at the end of your email notifications then you can be sure that the attachments have been removed due to this limit.

The only way to remove this limit is to use your own SMTP server. If you setup your own SMTP server, then no such size limit is imposed on the outgoing emails.

You can use SMTP on your form by following these instructions: how-to-set-up-smtp-for-a-form

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, let us know.

    Thank you!

For now, we can only disable "Send Uploads as Attachment" to make sure we can receive the DPF attachment and open the upload file by click the hyperlink of the File Upload.

Do you have any other solution to make sure we can receive both DPF attachment and upload files?

Hello! We had an issue with missing PDFs two days; but that was fixed almost immediately.

Q1) Are you facing these issues on your recent submissions as well?

Q2) Can you make a test submission to check whether or not you receive these PDF attachments as well as uploads?

Let us know. We'll wait for your response.

    Thank you!
