    Contact Form in Facebook

Asked by Beecomm on June 12, 2011 at 10:13 AM

I implemented a jotform into an facebook iframe page.

If you go to KONTAKT you can see that the scroller is on the right side. But the scroller is only on the contact page, on all other pages i don't have a scroller. If i remove jotform then i don't get a scroller. I used the script to integrate it to the iframe page.

Actually everything works fine except that i get a scroller. Any idea why the scroller is there on the contact form and how i can configure jotform that the scroller doesn't appear anymore? For your information the width of the form is correct and i even tried to reduce it to 400px, but scroller still appears.

    Hi John,

Thank you for bringing this up. Kindly try to reduce the width of the form fields, specifically the Subject and Your Message fields, and refresh your form to see if the scrolling will be removed.

Please let us know if it works fine for you or not so that we can further assist you. Thank you for using JotForm!

    Hi John,

Is your facebook page still up? For some reason, I couldn't access that page on my end. I'm not sure but maybe you gave us the wrong URL. Can you please double check?

We would really love to help you with this problem but for us to have a better understanding of what's going on, we need to be able to see the page where the form is embedded.

We look forward to your response. Thank you for cooperating.

    The following link should work.

I also found some further informations. I tested the page on my Mac on firefox and windows firefox.

The scroller only appears on windows, but not on Mac....

Can you please try using iframe codes to embed the form?

To get your form's iframe embed codes

    1.  Go to Setup & Embed tab
    2.  Click Embed Form
    3.  Click iFrame

    4.  Copy the codes provided in the succeeding screen

Update us if this solution makes any difference at all. We look forward to your response. Thank you.

    Thanks for the fast respond.

I changed it to iframe, but still the same result, except now the scroller appears also on Mac firefox. I also tried to use the source code but the scroller still appears.

I reduced now once again entire width to 350 and the form fields are smaller in width than that. The witdh on the facebook page is set to 510.

I added also another page called test. On this page i added another contact form through a wordpress plugin. Seems to work fine.

You can find the page also outside of facebook with the URL: http://blog.beecomm.ch/

    Thanks for you kind support.

    Try this solution:

    1.  Edit your website theme's style.css

    2.  Add this line of code:

    #footer {

Obviously what it does is removes the footer so that it does not take up the invisible space which makes the scrollbars appear. Unfortunately that means if you add widgets in the footer area, they will not be displayed at all.

So far this is the best solution I came up with. Hope it works for you.

    Hay Neil

Thanks for the tip. Works fine now. And since i don't use a footer widget on the facebook page is this solution for me ok, for now.

    Thanks again and regards
