How can I autoload the lightbox from within my 'Welcome' tab, on my Facebook fan page?

Asked by djmck098 on December 04, 2013 at 01:11 AM

    Hi there,

Ive been trying to create a splash screen/page for my facebook fan page, that will pop up automatically, before facebook users click 'like', on the FB fan page. But to no avail.....:(

    Facebook Fan page link: https://www.facebook.com/JessicaWatersNovels

Previous Question placed on Jotform Support Forum: http://www.jotformpro.com/answers/296789-How-can-I-create-a-Splash-screen-page-for-facebook-Fan-page-that-will-pop-up-automatically-before-facebook-users-click-like-on-FB-fan-page?&&updatemessage=10732640770

But as the link above explains(Latest support guys response), apparently I can autoload the lightbox from within my 'Welcome' tab displayed on https://www.facebook.com/JessicaWatersNovels. ('Welcome' tab also displayed in attached image)

Direct Link to 'Welcome' Tab on the Facebook Fan Page: https://www.facebook.com/JessicaWatersNovels/app_205521576149308

Does anyone know how to do this? If so, please guide me through the procedure?

    Hi Alex,

I think Thunderpenny (Static Iframe App) has updated the App settings or Facebook updated its system not to allow a certain javascript codes which is part of the form codes. It used to work before, but I just tested it again and unfortunately, it does not work anymore. You may consider using your current settings instead.

    Hi Welvin,

Thanks for your prompt response mate.

Are there any other methods/options(facebook development methods, html page hosting options), even & including outside of jotforms. Which i could use to implement a splash screen/page, that can load a pop-up, when someone visits my Facebook fan page?

    Cheers again mate

Alex, I can see that this is partly related to your original thread that was being worked on per some of my other colleagues that had created an App Solution to this matter. I have addressed your question here http://www.jotform.com/answers/296789-How-can-I-create-a-Splash-screen-page-for-facebook-Fan-page-that-will-pop-up-automatically-before-facebook-users-click-like-on-FB-fan-page#9 in your other thread. Please allow us some more time to see if there is something else that we can come up with regards to this. If we are able to do so then one of us will update you as soon as we know something more.
