We need all the form submissions collated into a final PDF. As a way to achieve that end, we are using URL parameters. Can we use workflows for this?

Second, in relation to workflow, we decided not to use Jotform workflows because we needed all the form submissions collated into a final PDF. As a way to achieve that end, we are using URL parameters. Is there is a way for Jotform workflows to achieve that goal?

Hello! Kindly note that the PDF Submission report is prepared per submission. You can have as many questions as you want in a single form and the app will include all form questions when generating this submission PDF. Here is the guide that shows how the submission PDF can be generated from the form questions.

If you're trying to achieve something else; then please elaborate your requirement.

    We'll wait for your response.

    Thank you!

    Hi Patrick,

You literally just created this forum post from this other post. So clearly, it is in the context of avoiding passing long URL parameters.

In the previous post you suggested: "Also, it seems that you have a workflow here; we usually recommend creating email based workflows; if you implement it; there won't be any need to pass these URLs in emails." So, will I be able to generate a PDF submission from multiple form submissions with using workflow, as opposed to URL parameters?

Hi Darcy! This new thread is created for your question concerning the PDF and workflows. You can continue with this thread regarding your question with workflow and PDF.

My answer in the last reply under this thread was concerning the generation of PDF if you opt for the workflow.

Kindly go through it and let me know if that doesn't work for you. We'll get back to you accordingly.

    Awaiting your response.

    Thank you!

    Hi Patrick,

Yes, but my question was clearly in the context of URL parameters. In fact, they're mentioned in the title of the question (which you created).

Hello Darcy! As far as I understand your requirement, you wish to pass data as URL parameters that should fill the form and then using that data, the PDF should be generated.

Please correct me if I got you wrong.

    Thank you!

    Hi Patrick,

    Yes that's right.

So I will need URL parameters even if I use workflows?

Hello! URL parameters are used in workflows; not for sending data but for signifying steps.

Please read this article to understand how workflows can be created and managed to gain a better understanding: a-general-approach-on-building-an-approval-process-workflow
