How can multiple selections in one form field be formatted for fill in the blank?

    Hello,

I'm trying to use fill-in-the-blank to create a contract with partially pre-filled form fields. I'm having a hard time trying to format form fields with multiple selections, for example, if the client selects both fine art & portraiture options, how do I make those options appear correctly formatted in a sentence?

Example sentence: We will be doing a fine art & portraiture shoot.

    Hello,

I have checked and cloned your form. Unfortunately, there's no direct option to pass the Multiple Choice field data separately to the Fill in the Blank field. However, I have a workaround that might meet your requirements.

    1) Add Short Text fields for each option on the Multiple Choice field. If you have 3 options, then add 3 Short Text fields.

    2) Create an Update/Calculate condition to manipulate the text to appear on the added Short Text fields: How-to-insert-text-or-calculation-into-a-field-using-conditional-logic.

Here's an example of the condition I made on the cloned version:

    And here's the result:

Then you can use the field tags for the Short Text fields on the Paragraph field to display the answers based on the user's selection.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you! This is a very helpful workaround. A few more questions:

    1. If I want for the date reservation (not the actual dates, but the number of days selected) to populate the text field so that this too can be added into the paragraph - is this actually possible to do? Example: 2 dates are selected on the date reservation that then populates to reflect "2-day shoot" when written in the paragraph via the form fields. At the moment, it shows up as a negative 6 digit number (-000000).
    2. When formatting the form fields in the paragraph, when multiple options are selected, is it possible to conditionally add punctuation or spacing so that the options don't automatically smush together? Example: The way my form is now, the sentences appear as "...shoot for fine artproduct photography." Or would that also be a case of setting the text box conditions to populate that way if multiple are selected with the workaround above?

    Thanks!
