Hi singingdog, thank you for reaching us.

It is possible to create a multiple choice question so that the combined answers must be equal to 100%. However, could you kindly elaborate further on the workflow? Such as, would you need the user to not be able to submit if the answers are not equal to 100%?

In meantime, you may consider using the combination of Calculative Value and Form Calculation. You may want to take a look at the following guide too:

    We await your updated response.

Yes, I would like 100% to be required before submitting. We have 3 recreational areas and want to know the relative usage of each. We are asking members what percentage of time they spend at each area and want the total to equal 100%.

Hi singingdog, thank you for providing us with more information.

Would the value be based on time, and would it be fixed (such as a total of 10 hours) or would it be different for each recreational area? In addition, is it a total hour per member or is it a total hour for a group? Kindly let us know the workflow in detail so we can assist you.

    The question would be:

What percentage of your skiing time do you spend at each area?

    • A:
    • B:
    • C:

The total for A+B+C needs to equal 100%

Individual skiers would be filling out the form

You may consider using the Grading Widget. Example:

Then to prevent the user from submitting the form unless the total is 100, you may create a condition that hides the submit button when the total is less than 100, so the form can only be submitted when the total is equal to 100.

    Example:
