    Widget - Matrix Dynamique - Adjust column width- Padding on Table/cells

    Asked by larnemusicfestival on December 06, 2013 at 08:09 AM

    Hi,

    I am designing my first online form and have used the new Widget - Matrix Dynamique

    I have set it up with 4 columns. I was wanting to find out how i can adjust the size of these columns, specifially the first one. Alternatively can i adjust the size/text of the 'Add Now' button?

    Basically i am embedding the form in a Weebly website that i'm designing on, but it is slightly too wide to fit properly on the website. Adjusting the first column should reduce it by enough.

    I have attached the link to my jotform. The Weebly site isnt live yet so i cant give a link to that. I have absolutely no coding experience so need easy steps if possible.

    Thanks,

    Richard

    So, you would like to be able to define the text field sizes on the Matrix Dynamique widget. To make it fix on Weebly. Do you know the pixel size you need to fit in?

    I opened a ticket about your request. We will look into what kind of solutions we can find and get back to you.

    Hi

    I am after the same thing as the original post, would it be possible to specify the width when you specify the Column name eg,

    Product Code;20,Date;8,Quantity;10

    Regards

    David, that sounds like a good idea.

    It can be optional.

    Product Code,Date,Quantity

    Product Code;20,Date;8,Quantity;10

    The first one would show the default size, and the second one can be used to specify the length of the text boxes.

    Cool, it is just updated accordingly. However, I delimited colon names and widths with a colon ":" :

    HeaderOne:60,HeaderTwo:120

    and enabled header color option which can be used to set the color of the header row.

    Kind Regards

    DId this work for anyone? When I add one header, S:10, it works. When I add a second header, S:10,M:10 the whole widget just disappears. It doesn't work. Anyone?

    Hi. Seems to be working well now. Only thing is there's a big space to the right of the matrix. I changed the overall width to 600 and used 'Shrink' in the properties as not all fields were appearing in the Form preview. But now i can't see the Wizard / Properties buttons unless i change the width back to around 300. Is there a recommended size i should use?

    Also i used the a new colour using the setup you've implemented. But when i add an entry on the form, it adds in the old  colour. (light blue) Is there a way for the new colour to be used throughout?

    Hi Richard,

    We greatly appreciate your cooperation with us.

    However, since that's another question for the matrix dynamique field, we would appreciate if you could post that into a new thread so we can brought that to our developers attention by creating a report ticket. Unfortunately, we can't do that here since this thread was for the other topic that was recently resolved.

    Thank you so much for your kind understanding.

    Hello,
    This is working much better. I have one more question. Is there any way you can add a way to adjust the padding on the table cells? I have tried doing this through custom css but the classes td and th are controled by the master css file. I can’t change the padding and so the table is still to large for my form. If I could adjust the padding I could have complete control. Thanks!

    How do we set the color for the horizontal line and content color?  I see the options, but I don't know what to put in the box.  Hex code, RGB (separated by comma)?

    It is now possible to inject custom CSS into Matrix dynamique widget using simple table element selectors.

    For example:

    thead>tr th { padding: 10px; }

    tfoot>tr th input { width: 90px; font-size:10px }

    Cheers
