I'm not quite sure I completely understand what you mean by " Save to dropbox by submission date ". Can you please explain more about what you are seeking?

To my knowledge your Submissions are already Dated and this carries over to Dropbox where Dropbox Dates them depending on when they were received.

Did you mean that you wanted to sort and send them to dropbox according to the submission's date or something to that effect maybe?

Oops, I was actually trying to search the forum for a solution when I accidentally post my question. But since I did not find a solution, maybe you can still help me. Is there are way to save the submissions to Dropbox or even where the files naming convention could match specific fields from within the form. For example, we name our files similar to this...Lost 2013-12-04 {dog name}{gender}{City}. With the dropbox integration, I can only figure out how to save it with a long date and time number or the submission ID number.

Dropbox allows you the best naming convention between both services.

On Dropbox, you can have more data appended to the submission folder.

You can set the convention as follows:

I was able to figure out hove to save them to dropbox as you indicated, however this creates a seperate folder for each saved file. Is there a way to have them all saved to the same folder? Also, is there a way to eliminate the time and leave just the date? I would like to be able to save them in a format such as this:

Lost 2013-12-07 Bailey - female Border Collie Chandler

Where the name, breed and city come from completed data within the form that was submitted. When we save the files as you suggested above, it takes us too much time to move and rename the files. We can do it quicker by manually saving them directly from jotform.

You can achieve this by doing the ff: steps.

    1. Uncheck the "Prefix with Date" option in the integration wizard when creating the dropbox integration. The prefix with date/time option is making your form submission's time stamped unique everytime it is submitted. This is the reason new folders were created for every submission

    2. In your form add a Date/Time field with only Date enabled and default date is enabled

    3. Add another Textbox field. This will be use as the Submissions folder name in the Dropbox

    4. Use the Calculated fields to create the submission folder in format

"Lost 2013-12-07 Bailey - female Border Collie Chandler"

    5. In dropox integration wizard, setup the folders configuration similar to this

    6. In my test form the form looks like this

    7. The dropbox submission folder look like this

If try my test form  you will noticed that the Date and Calculated field are not visible. Because I have hidden it with CSS code for best effect.

You can also clone my test form to see for yourself the setup. Use this guide

After cloning the form, make sure to setup the Dropbox configuration to your account according to my suggestion on step#5

Thank you, I see how that works. However it still creates a seperate forder for each submittal (Like the thre in your step 7 above). Is it possible to have all submittals show up in the 12_09_2013 folder and the have the individual file names with in the folder be like what you have above...12_09_2013-ChowChowFemale Antioch?

Unfortunately storing submissions on a single folder is not possible as each submission cretes its own folder, this is how the integration through dropbox work. In any case the best thing that can be done is to format the labeling on these folders.

If you do need further assistance, do let us know. Thank you.

In regards to this matter, I will raise a Feature Request Ticket so that the Development Team evaluates the possibility add the functionality of submitting on a single folder. Now I am unable to promise this feature will be implemented, nor can I provide an ETA for such request.

Nevertheless, I believe this request should be considered by the Developement Team. Once there are any updates in regards to this featuer request, will be njotified though this thread. Thank you.
