Change Textbox input value to display special characterAsked by fsledu on December 10, 2013 at 12:04 AM
How can I set up a Textbox during inputting, the box display * or any special character?
e.g. A Textbox: Secure Code, I input . I expect the box show: [***] but the value 987 can be saved.
I tried the Input Mask, but I still see the input value.
You seem to be referring to a password field. Unfortunately, we have removed the password field on the form builder for security reasons so that's not doable in the form builder. The password field has been used by few abusive users for creating illegal forms like fake login form so we have to take it down. If you're trying to create a log in form, please do not proceed so or else your account will be suspended after your form will be detected by our automated phishing filter.
However, if your concern is just about masking a specific field then you can achieved that when you take your form source code and modify the input field type from "text" to "password". That should do it.
Here's how to get your form source code. http://www.jotform.com/help/104-How-to-Download-a-Source-Code-of-your-Form
<input type="text" class=" form-textbox validate[required] form-validation-error" data-type="input-textbox" id="input_35" name="q35_code" size="30" value="">
Simply replace the text with password as highlighted above.
