JotForm failed to send email notifications upon form submissions!

Asked by antoniooi on December 10, 2013 at 11:44 AM

    Dear JotForm Supports,

All of a sudden, many form submissions submitted since Dec 9 had not been sending email notification to those designated recipients, please check! This lead me to manually send to my customers one-by-one through JotForm's control panel!

Please do some great job or else I really want to entirely give up on JotForm, seriously!

We deeply apologize for the inconveniences this may have caused.

We will do our best to find the cause and the solution for this issue. Now, could you please confirm us if this is the form you are having issues with? http://www.jotform.me/form/21792384144456

I checked the email logs and I found that emails of the submissions of Dec 9 were sent to three Recipient you have specified:

    /var/log/jotform/remoteSmtpEMAIL.log:[09/Dec/2013:03:08:17 -0500] remote SMTP to
    esther.yong@knowledgehub-asia.com from inquiry@malaysiatraining.net Last-Form-ID :
    IP : 60.53.29.63 Form-ID: 21792384144456 /var/log/jotform/remoteSmtpEMAIL.log:[09/Dec/2013:05:57:52 -0500] remote SMTP to
    esther.yong@knowledgehub-asia.com from inquiry@malaysiatraining.net Last-Form-ID :
    IP : 218.208.16.2 Form-ID: 21792384144456

So, please check the spam/folder of the recipient email addresses, it could be that our emails got there. I recommend you to contact you email provideder and request them to whitelist our domaing names:

    ·        jotform.com

    ·        email.amazonses.com

    ·        amazonses.com

    ·        jotform.co

    ·        secure.jotform.co

    ·        s3.amazonaws.com

    ·        static-interlogyllc.netdna-ssl.com

We use Amazon SES method for "noreply@jotform.com" sender.

If the issue still persists after whitelisting our domain names, please let us know.

    Thanks

    Hi EliezerN,

Sorry, this time was my fault - I deeply apologize.

I did not check the spam folder. But all this while noreply@jotform.com did not go into my spam folder except recently, this was what that made me not thinking about the "spam" folder.

I have more than 1 email notification on each form:

    1. To my client.

    2. To my company email.

    3. T0 my personal email (just in case my company email is not accessible)

The issue involved many other forms, not only the one that you mentioned. But apparently, some email notifications went into the spam folder, which wasn't an usual case to me.

Once again, I apologize for this negligence.

    Antonio

Just found out that Google is now threating your amazonses.com  as SPAM. I suggest that JotForm should stop using amazonses.com:

Thank you for your input. Gmail will never treat the autoresponder as spam unless it is tagged as one. Kindly make sure sure to untag the spam label.

Do let us know if the issue persists. Thank you.
