That DOESN'T seem to work - you can't align say three fields precisely

That DOESN'T seem to work - you can't align say three fields precisely in a single row so that the field names are aligned ... or if there IS a way, please let me know HOW

Despite trying over and over again to resize the fields and place them precisely I could never get them lined up.

And I have about 140 fields to adjust manually ... no thanks.

So my pdf document looks nothing like my form.

Wasted a whole day trying and waiting for support to firstly not answer my question and then admit there is no auto align feature in pdf editor ... and I can't get it done manually.

Hello! I believe that you're referring to this form: https://www.jotform.com/answers/3028944

Kindly note that there it is not possible to achieve 100% identical layout of PDF and the online form; this is because both the formats/platforms are different. If you want a specific PDF layout, we have another solution for that, i.e. Smart PDF Forms. Smart PDF Forms allows you to gather data in online form and then map that data to the uploaded PDF document; this way the format of the PDF is retained.

Also, it is possible to move 3 fields in one row; I was able to do this as shown in the following screencast: http://shots.jotform.com/patrick/Screencast%202021-04-13%2008-35-56.webm

    Q) Doesn't this solve your purpose?

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, let us know.

    Thank you!

This is the thread that prompted me to write that:
    https://www.jotform.com/answers/3028944-how-to-align-fields-in-the-pdf-editor#5

See my thread - I had ALREADY moved 3 fields/row. The thread was about alignment

So why wasn't I told THAT information in my thread?
I wasted about 7 hours just WAITING for JotForm support to completely miss the point of my question ... ... and then another couple of hours for them to tell me it can't be done ... ... and now I find out that there IS a solution to my question about precisely aligning fields!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is what is SO frustration about Jotform support

The same thing happened in this thread of mine:
    https://www.jotform.com/answers/2973094-how-can-i-get-a-field-to-show-after-a-specific-time-on-a-specific-day#9
Different people give either irrelevant information, wrong information or repeat methods that have already been suggested and found not to work ... all in SAME thread.
It is SO hard to find out how to do something new - I search the forums, the user guide is limited and way too simplistic (it show what features there are but not HOW to achieve it), some-one needs to re-write this page that I was sent - I don't need all the detailed background. I just need to know how to do it with an example ... and then for it to say you have to PREVIEW the example to actually see it working.
    https://www.jotform.com/help/443-mastering-date-and-time-calculation

    It is just SO frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spend ages taking screen shots, annotating them to explain precisely what my issue is and I get irrelevant of wrong answers.

Thanks for the suggestion - I will look into it but the deadline has passed and I need the form LIVE tomorrow.
I'm not going to have time to make any changes and test it in time ... but I WOULD have if I had been given the correct answer in the first place.

Apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. I understand your frustration and I apologize we did not provide the Smart PDF Forms solution sooner.

Please test our Smart PDF Forms and let us know if you have any questions.
