Set sender email from form field

Asked by dmwesq on December 12, 2013 at 09:23 PM

I want my emails from a form I created to come from the sender's email address. The form has a field for the sender's address, and I would expect I should be able to set that field as the from address. I watched the video tutorial on this subject and it looks like I should be able to accomplish this; however, when I try to set the sender address I get choices to use noreply@jotform or to create a new email address to use, but no option to grab the field from the form.

    Hi there,

To reveal the From Email Address you have to use Mandrill app. Here's a complete guide: http://www.jotform.me/help/240-Set-Email-Field-as-the-Notification-Sender-Email-Address-with-Mandrill

Let us know if you come across any issues with this. Thanks!

While I can't say I understand the decision to complicate a feature that used to be very simple, at least there's a solution.

I think that this helped us to secure the service from spammers and phishers.

Also, we have added a Reply-to option, so might be an alternative solution in some cases.

    Thank you.
