We have an investment club which uses excel and will shortly use ms access to manage the accounting of transactions and reporting but neither of these great programs offer a user friendly front end for the member or customer wanting to buy the software.
Do you think your product can adapt to manage the complex formulas / database type instructions?

You can create a webform with Jotform, you can generate a report our from your form submissions. Jotform owns a few resources that would accomplish a certain requirements. I think I would ask you a few more questions regarding your requirements. The flow of the transactions and how would you like to manage the data out from the form.
Here are few of our our resources:
1. Reports - For exporting your form submissions into a various format.
2. Data_Management - An app that would allow you to manage submissions into a certain database type.
I would also suggest checking our FAQ page: http://www.jotform.com/faq/.
