How can I Use generated ID in new formAsked by influentialcreations on December 16, 2013 at 02:34 PMHi! Thank you for your help! Now that my form is working. Please can you help me with the following:This way I generate custom codes. I would like to use this generated code in my next form as some sort of one time code. This should be required in this form. How can I link the generated code from form 1 in form 2?
Thanks for contacting us. You may use the Unique ID widget and drag it on your form. The easiest way to use this is to search "Unique ID" from the search widget bar.
Optionally, you can set the Prefix and Number Padding if you wish to provide more uniqueness of the generated ID.

To prepopulate data, please refer to this user guide: How to Pass Values to the Text Area of a Form via URL encoding
You can pass most data from your form on most fields on another form just the same on the text area on the guide.
Then all you need to do is to enable "Unique Question" on your 2nd form.
On this example, You need to create a textbox with any name(mine would be Custom ID) and set it to be a unique question. So that that form will not be submitted using the same Custom ID.
If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you
Hi! Please can you check my forms? I've used the pass values through URL and it seems to work, except for 1 thing. I'll try to explain what I've done: - I've created a form that wil generate a unique ID. - this unique ID value is passed through URL to another form where this field is pre-filled - in the other form, I've set a rule that if that field is filled, it's hidden so it's not visible. - also this field should be unique (no duplicates)All seem to work except: When I set the rule, the unique code acts weird. Even if the passed through value is unique, it says it isnt. Please can you help me with this? My username is: gastenlijstThanks!
