How to Prepopulate the Same Form with Data from a Previous Submission?

Also, I tried to fill out the form a second time. The form said I could only fill out the form once. This is for a horse show. Often there is one rider and several horses. The name of the rider will be on each form. The name of the horse will be different per horse. Can they still fill out two or three forms?

    Hello kaygeorge1,

How to Prepopulate the Same Form with Data from a Previous Submission

You can set up the form to copy the data from the previous submission and prepopulate the fields with that data in the new submission. This way, the fields that will have the same data as the previous submission don't need to be filled again. (Like rider name in this case)

The way that this work is:

    • A user opens the form, fills the data, and submits the form.
    • The user gets redirected to the same form but this time the fields are pre-filled with the data entered previously.

You can add your external link by doing the following steps:

Adjust the redirection with the URL of your form and the field names of your form and you should be good to go. The Unique Name of the fields can be found in the advanced properties of the field.

You can do the following steps for finding the Unique Name:

    1. Click the settings of the target field.

    2. Click Advanced and go Field Details from the right panel.

    3. Now you can see the Unique Name of the field.

    thank you for the note.
I am getting this message.  It will not allow me to fill in the form.  It also does not show up my first entry on the submission list or excel spreadsheet
Sorry! Only one entry is allowed.

The "Sorry! Only one entry is allowed." is shown because you enabled the Unique Submission feature, which is preventing duplicate submissions.

If you want to submit the form multiple times from the same browser/device, you should disable this feature.

I also checked and you received 2 submissions this month. One is shown in the Table, and you deleted the other one.
