    Background Image not showing up

    Asked by emlogodesign on January 02, 2014 at 11:03 PM

    WHen you go to the full screen mode it does show a variance in the background color as if it's trying to show the background but it's just white instead of the image.

    We apologize for this inconvenience. Is this what you are referring to? The Advanced Color Picker widget?. It is showing fine on any browser except IE versions

    This one is from IE9. It is happening also with IE10.

    Please let us know if this is what you are referring to. It seems that it is not working for IE and enabling compatibility view does not work either. I may have to escalate this if this is your case. Otherwise, you may also correct me if I misunderstood your inquiry or if you are referring to another thing. Thank you

    No it's the background image that is not showing up at all.

    I injected this CSS:
    body, html{background: url('
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/uzl3ttjxj1s8zrq/background.png?m=')
    repeat;height: 100%;}

    Hi Emily,

    There are a couple of issues with this. Firstly, the URL in your CSS seems to link to a web page which contains an image instead of just an image. Here's the URL:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/uzl3ttjxj1s8zrq/background.png?m=

    Click it.

    Secondly, the image is rather large. (I mean its file size not its dimensions) Images intended to be displayed on the internet should have small file sizes. I would recommend downloading it and then use TinyPNG to reduce it. (TinyPNG will reduce its file size by 66% without any degradation in quality.)

    After reducing it, download it to your computer, rename it wedding-stationery-background.png and upload it to your JotForm account. To do that, insert an image field anywhere on the form by clicking Image in the Form Tools menu:

    When the wizard loads, select Upload Image File, click Next

    and upload the image.

    Close the Image Wizard, delete the image from the form and then do the following:

    1. On the Form Style tab, click the Background button and change the color to transparent and click OK:

    2. Replace all of the form's injected CSS with this and save the form

    The result should be the same as this clone. Is that what you were aiming for?

    In order to enhance the visibility of the Terms and Conditions I've added the following rule to the clone's CSS:

    #text_13 {
    background: #FFF;
    }

    No you don't have it how I want it to look I want the white area to be the
    image but I want to keep the tan color behind the form so you can read it.

    I got everything figured out for the background. Now I'm just having 1 last
    problem. The Color Picker seems to be coming up transparent so the
    background shows through making it look strange and confusing. Can we make
    them white?
    Also the color pickers don't work at all using Internet Explorer.

    Hi again,

    As the Color Picker widget is a different issue to the background image, please see this thread. Incidentally, check the spelling of stationary.

    Thanks
