    Repositioning Address fields

    Asked by nkasic on January 03, 2014 at 06:01 AM

    In different countries there seems to be different customs how to present address.

    For that reason, I need to reposition elements in Address field, which is partially described here:

    http://www.jotform.com/answers/213250-Address-field-Switch-position-of-address-elements#4

    I need detailed instructions about default values and how to change coordinates of elements, but also, once I manage to adjust it, I will need to use such Address field in all my forms and sometimes multiple times within the same form.

    Is there any way to define such style/arangement as default for some language?
    The default one is currently US style od addressing, but in Europe, various countries use various styles and it would be nice to somehow tie it to the language.

    In order to change the position of your address fields you will need to use CSS codes as explained in the thread you refered to. Now, the CSS code that you use in one form is probably that it will need to be changed to use it in other forms as the position and input IDs of the address fields would be different.

    There is no way to set the position/style of the address fields as default for some languages. So, to have forms in different languages and with address fields with different positions you will need to create multiple forms and inject custom CSS codes to each one of the address fields on them.

    If you provided us the URL of your form and explain us the desired position for address fields, we will be more than glad to help you to find the correct CSS codes.

    We will wait for your reply.

    Thanks

    Hi EliezerN,

    My form is on http://www.jotform.com//?formID=40011544513843

    Sorry for the mess, but it's work in progress :-).

    The address is under "Adresa sjedišta" and Croatian format for writing addresses is:

    {street and number}
    {second line}
    {post code}{city}
    {country}

    Once properly set up and aligned, it should be replicated on other places in the form, and I would like to be able to copy it easily to other forms.

    Hi,

    Looking at your address format, it seems doable in the form builder. Note that you can achieved this by changing only the sub-label text.

    Here's how:

    That's it. If you need further assistance, let us know here.

    Very clever :-).

    Thanks!

    I've tested and it's even properly labeled when submitted and exported to Excel.

    It can even be copied so I don't have to re-arange/re-name  every address field from scratch.

    Regards!
