    The blue background is all at the top. Please adjust so you have blue background above the logo, between logo & form and also below form. So it looks nice neat and equal. If you receive this reply more than once its because your upload got stuck on please wait.

    @ipbr21054

    Sorry but I am having challenges understanding your last request. We would greatly appreciate if you could clarify it further.

    When you say the blue background, are you referring to the "clouds" background on your entire form or the header with a blue background? Is this something you'd like to achieved?

    If you could go in a more detailed way, we'd be more than happy to assist you here.

    Thanks!

    Ah Okay, thank you for letting us know. So if I am understanding what you mean correctly it basically sounds to me like you mostly want to just tweak the form so that the Cloud Background is better spaced above and below your actual form and Logo if that is correct?

    Currently this is what I am seeing with your form when I view it in Chrome (see screenshot below) where it is cut off sort of and there is no spacing above or below at all.

    In FireFox it wasn't necessarily cut off but it did feel and look a bit too condensed with no spacing above or below which seems to be what you want.

    I think its going to take some time to try to tweak further as I had also checked on the iPhone Config for this to be displayed and again in Mobile Chrome for this it was cut off on iPhone 4S (iOS 7.0.4).

    Sorry i forgot to mention.

    Before i used to have the form with some text to the left of it and just below the text i had my logo.

    When i make an edit to the form i need to ask you to make an edit to line it all up again,i thought this was to much work every time.

    What i have done is to delete the text to the left of the form & also the logo below the text.

    I have added a logo just above the submit button.

    When i view the form on the ipad all is good.

    When i view the form on the iphone it is small & i need to tap the form to make it larger before you edit.

    The form i am using is https://www.jotform.com//?formID=32155889843366 BUT i have added the form into my web page like so http://www.theremotedoctor.co.uk/fordcontact.html

    When i view this form on my iphone http://form.jotformeu.com/form/32153378873360 it is a nice size and you can complete the form straight away.

    Below are 2 screen shots from the iphone.

    1 = 32153378873360 and perfect size on iphone.

    2 = 32155889843366 is small on iphone,needs to look the same size as above.

    Does this make sense ?

    @ipbr21054

    The reason why it appears small if that the form is embedded on your page which means it uses your page meta declarations to make the page mobile responsive. Unfortunately, your page doesn't have meta tags that would help control the display of the form on the mobile screen. To resolve that, simply add the following meta code on your page here, put it between the header tag <head>.

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=0.7, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=0" />

    I have tested it @broserstack local testing with the initial scale 0.7 and here's the result.

    Hope this helps. Regards!

    @ipbr21054

    You are now embedding your form using its full source code which is very different on the first version of your page. That's the reason why your cloud background is not there anymore.

    My meta recommendation previously is only applicable to your previous page source code, http://www.theremotedoctor.co.uk/fordcontact.html. Since you are now embedding the form using it's source code you don't need to put my meta code anymore since Jotform form source code comes with meta viewport code already.

    Anyway, I have here your entire form source code with few corrects, please replace your form source code with this. http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=remnqEuj

    1. I have deleted the meta code you've added under </head> tag (it is misplaced) =)

    2. I have added the cloud background on the CSS codes (Take note that your form background is transparent before, the cloud background wasn't placed on your form, instead it was added on your old page source code).

    Thanks!

    My apologies.

    I have now added the correct code as advised and background is now ok.

    One thing i did notice was when you view the forms the text size is different in each form,this is because both forms are different viewing sizes again.

    Form 32153378873360 is correct size and text is ok

    Form 32155889843366 is small and text is very small

    Can we make size of form & text  on form 32155889843366 same size as text on form 32153378873360

    See below example,when viewing on iad.

    Same problem on iphone but ipad gives you a much better view of the proble,

    Hi,

    The form 32153378873360 is NOT embedded, you are viewing its stand alone form URL. This is why it looks fine on iphone and ipad device.

    The form 32155889843366 is embedded. This is why it needs to be adjusted. You can restore back the initial scale from 0.7 found on the form source code meta viewport I've provided on my previous post and set it back to 1.0. Check this screenshot.

    By the way, since you are already using the direct form URL of this form 32153378873360, why not use the same on this form 32155889843366? The form URL is http://form.jotformeu.com/32155889843366. They should display similar to each other.

    Thanks!

    Is it ok to have one form embedded and one form NOT embedded ?

    What is the difference & should i change so that they are both embedded or bot NOT embedded ?

    Answered by KadeJM on January 09, 2014 at 10:26 AM

    What my colleague meant by that was since we can see that you are using a direct link for form http://form.jotformeu.com/form/32153378873360 on your website. He was asking why not do the same with just a link for the other form (http://form.jotformeu.com/form/32155889843366) as well. These both display similar as standalones so if you just link that they should display fine also.

    In all honesty it's up to you if you want to embed them or not. The difference between the two is that the Direct Link will only hyperlink it for your customers to visit and use the form. Whereas Embedding the form will display the form on your website itself. Please see Adding a Form to a Website Guide for further information on this.

    Here's an example of what I mean by all that:

  • Profile Image

    Answered by ipbr21054 on January 09, 2014 at 12:10 PM

    Ok

    Am i right in thinking its best to have both the same and thus to have both using a direct link.

    When i go to this page http://form.jotformeu.com/form/32155889843366 can i just copy the source code and paste it into my web page and then thats done.

    Also,will any alterations need to be made for size of form / size of text on iphone/ ipad ?

  • Profile Image

    Answered by ipbr21054 on January 09, 2014 at 01:35 PM

    Ok

    I think ive got it now.

    I have copied the link as shown in the photo below.

    Then on this page http://www.theremotedoctor.co.uk/ford_radio_code.html when you click on the black radio "which i have added the hyperlink to" you are then taken to this page http://form.jotformeu.com/form/32155889843366

    On the ipad all looks good.

    On the iphone in landscape all looks good.

    But in portrait it looks ok until you slide the screen slightly and you then see excess lines from the form,as shown in photo below.

    Please advise if i had added the form correctly "reading technical staff`s advice above to match my other form"

    Please fix issue with excessive lines when viewed in portrait using iphone.

    I have also been doing some testing on the 2 forms on the ipad & iphone.

    In landscape mode & portrait mode.

    Form 32155889843366

    Ipad Landscape

    Top of form touches top of screen "GOOD"

    Bottom of form NOT touching bottom of screen "PLEASE EDIT"

    Ipad Portrait

    Top of form touches top of screen "GOOD"

    Bottom of form NOT touching bottom of screen "PLEASE EDIT"

    ...........................................................................................

    Form 32153378873360

    Iphone Landscape

    Top of form touches top of screen "GOOD"

    Bottom of form touches botton of screen "GOOD"

    Iphone Portrait

    Top of form touches top of screen "GOOD"

    Bottom of form NOT touching bottom of screen & excess line from form on the right hand side of the form "PLEASE EDIT"

    My goal is to have BOTH forms looking the same,this then makes the page look professional & also makes the overall web site look professional.

    Top & Bottom of form MUST touch Top & Bottom of screen.

    Please can you make the neccassary adjustments to achieve this.

    Many Thanks.

    @ipbr21054

    Overlapping of the text fields on iPhone for the form "32155889843366" is now fixed. Kindly recheck. The CSS code added can be seen at the bottom of your form's injected CSS codes.

    ----------------

    iPhone landscape for the form 32155889843366 appears to be fine. It touches to the bottom of the screen. Is this what you mean?

    iPad of course has a higher screen resolution and the fact that it has greater width than the iPhone device that's why the form does not autofit on the bottom of the iPad screen since the form is shorter enough to touch to the ground level. Some CSS tweaks can be made but couldn't promise you anything.

    Hope this information helps. Thanks!

    It's the following:

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 550px){

    .form-textarea, .form-textbox {

    width:95% !important;

    }

    }

    It is seen on this form http://form.jotformeu.com/form/32155889843366, under injected CSS codes.

    Regarding on the iPad bottom issue, unfortunately I'm not quite sure if there's a possible solution to that as mentioned on my previous post. iPad has bigger screen resolution than iPhone so there is always a big difference when it comes to the content size. I made a quick research on google and found the following CSS, this might help to zoom the form when viewed on iPad Portrait Mode.

    @media only screen and (min-device-width:768px) and (max-device-width:1024px) and (orientation:portrait) {

    html {zoom:1.7;}

    }

    Works fine on my test. Go ahead and inject it to your form.

    I like the zoom,its very good.

    I set zoom to 1.44% and ipad now perfect in portrait & landscape for both forms.

    I would like you to make one more final tweak.

    This is for iphone.

    As you can see by the photos below one form only has large border on right hand side and no border on left hand side.

    The other form has equal border left & right hand side.

    Please make border on form 32153378873360 exactly like border on form 32155889843366

    THIS WILL THEN BE ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER OF JOTFORM.
