WIDGET IMPROVEMENT: Photos not printing correctly if "Take Photo" Widget is Resized.

Asked by rgannon on January 07, 2014 at 03:11 PM

As part of our jotform, we have selected cells to take photos.  The photos are included in the submissions, but when I try to print off the form, the photos do not print.   Any help?

We would be more then happy to assist you with this problem. Can you please tell us which form you are trying to print the images from so that we can better assist you with this problem?

Are you trying to print from the Email Notification of the Submission or when viewing the Submission inside your Submission Control Panel where you view All of your Submissions?

Good Morning. Thank you for your help.
We are an auto repair company and will be supplying our members with jotform to do automobile inspections. When I forward a final form completed, sometimes the photo is able to be viewed in the exact place it is presented in the form. Other times, all the photos are at the end of the form which is causing some problems because there is a text box under each photo explaining the results .
I will forward examples. We appreciate this program and thanking you in advance for your help.

right at our location and send the submission via email to our customer's email address.....
    Thank you

Thank You for the further explaination about the problem at hand. I apologize but unfortunately we did not receive any of the forwarded messages because our forum does not allow that other than replies from your email as well as Images and Videos if you are able to provide us with any. If you wish to provide us with Images or Videos of the problem you are more then welcome to use Our Image Hosting or a third-party one such as Imgur where you can then either copy and past the image or link directly or by using our Image Tool. Alternatively you can just forward them to our inbox at support@jotform.com.

I believe that you may be talking about this form perhaps: https://www.jotform.com/33005074309849. Can you confirm that or if not then please provide a link to the correct form.

It sounds to me like you are referring to the problem starting here on your form. (Please See Screenshot Below). It's obvious that you are using the " Take Photo " Widget. Was this intentional and are you having your members use that via some sort of camera to take photos through their computer? That Widget in particular is going to run and connect to the computer's Built-in Camera or an Accessory Camera that is attached to the computer where you can then take live pictures.

I discovered that Widget's Take Photo button goes missing if the Size of your Field for it is constrained too small. So because of that it apperas that you are not receiving photos correctly nor would you be able to print them if nothing as the photo is not able to be finished because the Button is missing. It is also important to make sure that you make sure your Clients allow the Form access to their Computer's Camera if you wish to use it. I am thinking that this may be the cause of the problem and I think thats probably why you are not able to print your photos often.

I will go ahead and pass this information along to our developers to see if there is something we can do to fix that when the Photo Taker Widget gets resized.

Thank you for your help and I apologize if you think I am duplicating my questions.  I am only asking them again because no matter what I try to do, the photos will not print when I PRESS THE print button after I select a submission to print.  I have no resized the photo, they are a the original size when the widget is attached to the form.  I am using the camer built into an ipad 2.... all or our dealers will be using the same product if we can get this to work.   Thanking you in advance.  I do not want to abuse a privliege of having a support network.  I just would like to get it to work.. it will mean hundreds if not thousands of submissions.

Have you tried the printing in Google Chrome? It seems to be working well with the images:
