I would like to create a form for me class that has a max capacity but also allows people to signup on a waitlist if the class has reached max capacity. Then if someone drops out from the class the person 1st on the waitlist is added to the new available spot in the class.

Is this a feature JotForm is capable of?

    Hello,

We do have a widget that can do max capacity but we do not have a widget or feature that can add a person on the waitlist automatically if someone drops the class.

Would that be okay with you?

You can use the Gift Registry widget: https://www.jotform.com/widgets/gift-registry. Please check the demo form and see if that would work for you.

You can also inform the user if the class is already full. For example, you can limit the form submissions to 10 and let the user know that links to another form for the waitlist. Here's a guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/137-how-to-limit-submissions-in-a-form

After that, please make sure that you have a waiting list form and add the link to the warning message of the submission limit feature. Here's a sample message:

You can contact the user on the waitlist if there's an opening spot and let them fill out the form again.
