Matrix Dynamique, and Infinite List widgets cause Internet Explorer to crash or do not display properly.

Asked by nnlg on January 09, 2014 at 01:08 PM

I am trying to use the Matrix Dynamique widget. I can insert it in the form and everything looks ok. When I go to the form, to fill in the fields and test, I can fill in the first row of the matrix. When I try to edit or add another row, Internet Explorer 11 crashes and comes up with an error saying error caused by web page. My version is 11.0.9600.16476. I've also tried using the Jotform Infinite List widget. That app shows similar behavior. The demo of the application does not cause a crash but does not display properly once you try to edit or add rows.

Have these widgets been tested with IE 11?

I have the same version but I seem cannot replicate the same error. Use the desktop version instead of the Metro version, just in case you are using Windows 8 or 8.1.

Kindly try to build your form again with the mentioned widget added and let us know the form URL here so we can further test. I'm just using the widgets without any other fields, not sure if there are other matter the causes this issue to the form. A conflict, maybe.

By the way, make sure to check your IE Compatibility Settings. Use Microsoft Compatibility List settings.

Thanks, I have been experitmenting with different computers and settings. I added the widget to a form that has been used for a year with the intention of gathering additional info. I used a Windows Pro 8.1 box to modify the form. Today, I have tried to use the form with a couple of computers with Windows 7. The issue exists with IE 9 and 11. Changing compatiability settings hasn't seemed to have any effect. I will give chrome a shot and see what happens.

    Thank you.
