If you have a numbers field that in the tables you summing up, if there is a new submission the sum does not update unless you refresh the page. is this a glitch?

secondly, can I query the sum in a thank you page?

for example, I am taking attendance for an online meeting and we can't start the meeting until a 100 people for example filled out the form, I'd like to show that, thank you you are the 95 attendant, once we reach 100 we will begin the meeting.

    Thank you for reaching support,

Upon checking your Tables, it does seem to calculate:

Unfortunately, the number of submissions can't be queried into the Thank you page, only the field values, so to address this, you may add Unique ID widget that auto increments each time a submission is made: https://www.jotform.com/help/79-how-to-add-custom-unique-ids-to-your-form-submissions.

    I hope that helps.

    Best.

Only if I refresh the page each time a new submission comes in. see below without refreshing. Last entry is 213, all good.

then entry 302 comes in and teh filled and sums do not update on their own.

Also really wanted to query the first sum in the table, so if the sum reaches 7500, we can start the meeting.

    Hi there,

Can you tell us what browser are you using to view the submissions?

Then kindly try using a different browser and let us know if the issue still persists.

I will also clear your for form cache so let us know how it goes.

    Awaiting your response.

    Best.

I tried Edge, Chrome and Firefox, all three browsers don't update the Sum or Filled values when a new submission comes in, it only does it on refresh. If it works on your end, can you please show me what you are using? I don't believe it works.

    Hi again,

Yes, it's a bug. Neither the value of Entries nor any other Summary value automatically updates unless you reload Tables. I've escalated this to our developers. Thanks for reporting.

"secondly, can I query the sum in a thank you page?"

Yes, you can, using the Submissions Counter widget.

    Demo form: https://form.jotform.com/211636091843051

I hope I have been of any help.

Thank you, but that only counts the number of submissions, I wanted to count the Sum of apartment shares as in order to start the meeting, 50% of owners by shares need to be in attendance to meet the "quorum", so the wanted to see if the SUM in the table section could be queried and displayed, Ie we have 6000 shares s far, our meeting can begin once we have 7500 shares.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to display the sum from tables. The sum is calculated only in the tables and cannot be shown anywhere in the form.

Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.
