Hi, I am contacting you on behalf of a small NGO and we are wondering if you have features that fit our survey needs. We are hoping to find a way to make individuals' answers to our survey anonymous to us, but track whether or not individuals (by name or email) have completed the survey or not. Would that be something we could do on this platform?

    Hi,

    Sorry for the confusion.

We are hoping to find a platform that allows us to track which respondents have or have not yet filled out the survey. However, we are hoping to keep an individual's answers anonymous to us.

I.E. if two people fill out the survey, we would not be able to see whose specific answers were whose, but we would know which two people had filled it out.

    Does that make sense?

    Thanks,

    Charlotte

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. You say you want your users to submit a survey anonymously, but still want to know if a user has submitted a form or not. To track that, the user needs to submit their name or email while submitting the form.

I would suggest you to please explain your requirement a bit more in detail, and we will try to help you.

We will wait for your response.

    Hi again,

    I don't understand.

How do you wish to not know whose submissions they are, and at the same time, you wish to know which people submitted the form. Don't you think this is contradictory?

We would be so much grateful if you could just further elaborate and provide more information, so that we can better assist you.

We are trying to have our clients fill out the survey but keep their answers anonymous. The survey will be very important to how it affects our program so we will do what we can to get a 100% response rate. For that reason, it is important for us to know who has filled out the survey and who has not so that we can remind those who have not filled out the survey to do so.

Our client's answers, however, should be anonymous given that we are asking them to rank our services and do not want them to feel pressured to answer in a positive light because we can tie it back to their name.

So, we would love to see which emails have and have not simply filled out the survey, but for the individual answers that rank our services to be kept anonymous.

For instance, if Sally, Bob and Martha were our clients that we asked to fill it out, we would want to be able to see that Sally and Bob had filled it out but that Martha hadn't, so we could remind Martha to fill it out. However, we would not want to be able to distinguish between the answers that Sally gave and the answers that Bob gave so it was kept anonymous in that way.

Does that make more sense? Let me know and whether or not your platform has such a feature

The only option I can think of is to generate a unique URL of the form for each of your user and share the URL with them. You can keep a track of the unique form URL for each user separately for reconciliation.

You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/306-allow-jotform-to-be-filled-out-only-by-those-with-a-special-link

    Hope this helps.

    Hi again,

In addition to my colleague's suggestion, I think another easier way to implement what you're after is basically having two forms and embedding one of them into the other. The first one would have a list of clients where they identify themselves, and the second embedded form is to take their rating anonymously. This way you end up with two forms, one to tell you who rated and who didn't, and the other will give you their ratings completely anonymously.

I hope I have been of any help.
