Links in Lightbox won't open within the LightboxAsked by sshshomeworkhelp on January 11, 2014 at 08:53 PM
I currently have a Lightbox set to automatically open with a "tutorial" of the features my site has to offer. Originally, I thought this was an issue related to anchors, but I realized that a link to another form also opens in a new tab, even when I've set it to open in the same window. I'm looking to have "Next" and "Back" links that jump to anchored sections within the same form, so when my users click those links, they will see the different anchored sections of the form in the same window in the lightbox.
You should probably used Page Break tool instead of creating hyperlinks, that should resolved it. Page Break divides your form into pages, you can navigate through out the page by clicking next and back buttons.
Page Break is under Survey Tools.
Hope this helps. Regards!
Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately, the Page Break tool won't shrink to fit into my page contents, so I'm using anchors to navigate from one section to another.
When you view my form directly (http://form.jotform.co/form/40105013338843), you can click the links and they will go to each section within the same frame (nothing opens in a new window). However, you view the lightbox on my site (http://sshstutoring.webs.com/chat.html), these links will open in a new window.
I've used anchors within iframes before and I haven't had link target issues, but in the lightbox, links don't seem to follow the targets I've specified in Jotform.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
The solution is, select the name or id of button then we use HTML tag <a target="_blank" href=”url”>text name</a>.
I can see you are now using page break tool and it looks just fine on my end. It's pretty neat and works as expected.
Is there anything we can help you about this? I am not also sure if links can be loaded inside the lightbox since lightbox is not loaded in an iframe container unlike you used iframe embed code so you might not be able to achieve what you want when you used hyperlinks.
