I have setup a form but the text has started to disappear when I click into the text (paragraph boxes) please help!

    I have spent many hours setting up this form but all of a sudden when I click on a paragraph to edit text, instead of editing the text it deletes it and even ctrl - Z to bring it back doesn't work.


    Getting really worried I have lost all this work?

    Hello @steverae1975,

    Thank you for contacting Jotform Support.

    I have reviewed the form you shared and I did find that there are a few Paragraph fields towards the top of your form that are completely empty.

    I then reviewed your form's Revision History and I can see that there was text saved under these fields previously that has now been deleted. It is possible that you accidentally deleted this text.

    However, there is no need to worry. Thanks to the revision history tool, you can easily revert the changes that have been made since then to get the text back into these paragraph fields.

    Thank you for your reply. I have definitely not deleted these by mistake. I even used the second section as a test. There seems to be a bug in the form or the system itself.


    I will try and take a video of what is happening so you can further escalate. How do I send you this video please?


    I will try and use the revision tool but the bug seems to mean that whenever I click in the text paragraph boxes it deletes all the text and then the box goes back to an "as new" paragraph box.

    Hi,

    We have an issue with the Paragraph field earlier. However, it was already fixed by our developers. Could you please try clearing your browser cache and see if that can help?

    Please give it a try and let us know if the issue persists on your end?

    Hi - I have cleared the cache and rebooted and it has now started working again, but it seems to be intermittent, sometimes it seems to still not respond as I would expect.

    Is your issue 100% fixed now?

    As my colleague mentioned, our developers have informed us that this issue should be cleared away now. However, if you still are experiencing issues, please let us know so we can report them to our developers.

    I did review your form once again and it seems that the paragraph fields are displaying all of the text that is currently inserted.

    Please keep an eye on the form and the paragraph fields and let us know if you notice any further issues.

    If you want to share a video with us, you will have two options.

    1) You can upload your video to a video hosting service like Loom or Vimeo and then share a link to the video with us.

    2) You can convert your video file into a GIF and then upload it to the support ticket using the file upload feature. The support ticket only accepts image files, so video files would not be accepted. However, GIF files are considered image files. Here is a helpful resource - https://cloudconvert.com/mp4-to-gif
