Auto populate information

Is there a way to create a form where you have previously created a database of vendors or clients and if you select one of these clients from a drop down list then it would auto populate that info that was saved for that client/vendor to a form.

Based on my understanding of your requirements, I believe what would truly help you is the Spreadsheet to Form widget.

What if we needed to update the spreadsheet? Does that mean we would have to keep re-uploading the spreadsheet to the form? that wouldn't be very efficient? is there not some other way to link to an online version of the spreadsheet that maybe is hosted on google drive or somewhere where that spreadsheet may have more info added from time to time and those changed then picked up on the form?

There's currently no option to link it to an online sheet. As of the moment, you will have to manually re-upload it.
