Revision History : not able to revert to previous form translations

    Hello,

In settings, I accidentally pressed the button saying set as primary for the French version of our form and when i quickly changed it back to English, all of my French translations were gone. Then, I tried to revert to a previous version / undo, but it simply refreshes, there is no return to the previous version and all of my translations are gone. Is there any way to fix this?

At the link, you can see the French version has English content, which was not the case previously. I have no screenshot of what it was previously, however it was completely in French.

    This: https://www.jotform.com/answers/1369094-is-there-a-way-to-retain-language-translation-when-switching-primary-language

Is exactly what happened to me, but BJoanna didn't answer it fully, as they only showed changing the primary language once, when I and the person did it twice. I switched to FR as primary by accident, and realized, and switched back to EN and then the FR translations were all gone.

    Thanks,

    Jodie-Ann

We apologize for inconvenience. I checked this on your form but I could not see the translations anymore. Everything in the form were in English even for the French option.

I tried reverting also to previous version, but the state that have the French language was not available in the revision logs.

Unfortunately, it look like the only option possible for now is to redo the translations for the French language. You need to set first English as the primary language and then do the translations.

I will also forward this ticket to our backend team and request if there is way to use the Revision History tool to revert the form to the state wherein the French language options were still working.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Okay thank you for your quick response, but I just find it very bizarre that knowing this error (the example I sent was created in 2018), there was no warning put in place. For example, when someone presses set as primary it is very strange and concerning that there is no warning message that says "are you sure? all of your data will be lost". Can this be done? I have been a jotform user for some time, but with an oversight this large and for this long of a period of time, I will have to consider other platforms.
