When I select the dropdown properties, it originally shows an arrow to click on to select an option.

When I select the dropdown properties, it originally shows an arrow to click on to select an option. For some reason, when I enter the options, the arrow changes to a slider. I don't want it to do that, how do I stop it?

The black circle in the picture indicates what is happening that I don't want. The blue circle indicates what it starts as and what I want it to stay.

Disable the "Multiple Selection" option and it will resolve your issue.
