Adding a text box on a product

  • MadisonBlaze
Asked on June 23, 2021 at 10:20 AM

How do I add a text field within a products option? Letting the user fill a short comment. I need to be able to have a text box per product item. By the way, I'm waiting for bank info to upgrade from free.

    Thank you so much.

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to add a blank text box in the product options. One way to achieve this requirement is to add separate text boxes per product, and then inject custom CSS code in the form to place the text box next to the product item.

Please take a look at the following cloned form where I have added comment text box for July 7, July 14 and July 21 product item: https://form.jotform.com/211735308880962

Feel free to clone this form for a closer look. The following guide should help you in form cloning: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-how-to-clone-an-existing-form-from-a-url

    Hope this helps.

Actually, how do I clone the css? I don't see where you added it. I tried
to clone one of the dates you created and it didn't copy.
    Thanks.

Better yet, can I add a condition in a product that pulls from a previous
dropdown selection? That's the question I need.
    Thanks

Please note that you cannot clone just one field as I have added multiple field in form and the injected custom CSS code if for specific field IDs. I would suggest you to please clone the entire form in your account and the following guide should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-how-to-clone-an-existing-form-from-a-url

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. I would suggest you to please explain your requirement a bit more in detail, and we will try to help you.

We will wait for your response.

Thank you for your help. After talking with my boss, I think the best way
    to do this is https://www.jotform.com/build/211784880322154
How can you make a shopping cart with this? Each date is $5. I am having a
hard time adding it up for a total. Thank you so much.
