Spreadsheet to Form: populate from Google Sheets on edit

Hi, I'm looking for a way to connect a spreadsheet to a Google form via the edit field identifier. I already have logic built in to determine the form status (new/edit, etc.) based on the GetURL widget. If the form is new--does not contain the word edit or table in the URL, the form is being updated, and I'd like to pull the edit identifier from the URL and have the form prepopulated from the spreadsheet row that matches the edit field identifier. If the form is new (URL does not contain edit or table), I'd like to add a row to the spreadsheet.

This seems like an easy integration, given that Jotform already has a widget that can prepopulate a form from a spreadsheet and there is a different integration to save form data to a Google sheet. It might require the edit identifier to be inserted into the spreadsheet as part of the first "approval" gateway in the approval workflow, but that wouldn't be difficult.

Is there a way to make this happen? This would be SO enormously useful!

    Thank you!

    Hello!

Unfortunately, the problem here is that the Spreadsheet to Form widget you might have in mind here requires the uploading of a static spreadsheet - it doesn't support pulling data from a Google spreadsheet - meaning the population of fields with Google Sheets data is impossible.

As the implementation of your described functionality requires this at its core, without a way to populate a form with Google Sheet data there is currently no way to achieve what you're describing.

I will forward your inquiry to our developers as a Feature Request, but I cannot provide an ETA of implementation of the feature.

I apologize and thank you for your understanding.
