Creating an auto responder email.

    I've gone through the forums and went to the tutorial for creating an auto response email but it's just not working.  I went to:

    Setup and Embed

    Email Alerts

    Add New Email

    Followed the Wizard prompts

    And... nothing when I test it.  What am I doing wrong??  I know people do this every day but I just can't make it work.  This is my first time using JotForm.

    Hi Molly,

    Thank you for sharing your concern with us. Just to be clear, Autoresponders are email messages that are automatically sent to the email address of the user who completed your form. Do not confuse it with Email Notifications which are sent to you, the form creator, whenever someone successfully completes your form.

    With that in mind, if you feel that your users do not receive the autoresponders, please ask them to check their spam or junk folder. If it is there, make sure to set it as "No Spam" so that this would not be flagged as spam in the future. 

    I tested your autoresponder with a gmail.com account and it worked perfectly. Could you also please test a different email address as the destination email of your notifications? Perhaps a Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo Mail account. If it works using this email, the issue is most likely with their email service provider. Their ISP or system administrator (person or group administering your email system) must be notified regarding this issue so that they can investige on their end. They may need to add jotform.com domain to their white list.

    Thank you!  You're right I needed to use a different email address for testing.  So here's my next question.  Is it possible to change the name and address (which is mine as the form creator) in the "from" field on this auto response email?

    I.E.
    From: Molly <molly@cdaonline.org>      [I'D LIKE THIS TO NOT SHOW MY INFO]
    Date: Tue, Jun 28, 2011 at 11:23 AM
    Subject: Thank You for Registering for COMOM!

    And my last question is, can I add any text into this email other than the subject line?

    To change from email address on a form, open your form on the Form Builder and then:
    1. Click on "Setup and Embed" tab,
    2. Click on "Email Alerts",
    3. Select "Autoresponder 1" (or whatever name you used),
    4. Click on "Reply-to and Recipient Settings",
    5. Change "From E-mail" at the top.

    You can change the body of the message from the previous page as well.
