    Form triggers red boxes

Asked by notforprofitins on January 15, 2014 at 06:35 PM

    Hi,

    This form: http://form.jotform.co/form/33456456510857

Triggers red boxes even before the user has had a chance to complete the form. Here is a little video showing what happens. I have been unable to fix it:

    Hi Mike,

Are you referring to the field required prompt?

This is normal if fields are set as required.

If you prefer to disable this, you can inject CSS code to the form to do it. Similar to what was described on this thread.

Hope this help. Please inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.

yes, these boxes usually appear when someone tries to advance without
filling the fields in. In this case they pop up *before *you even try to
complete them. I want them to behave normally, I don't want them to be
    disabled

    Hi Mike,

I viewed your screencast. That's the way required fields work when "Next" buttons are clicked. In that sense, "Next" buttons are similar to "Submit" buttons.
