    It'd be nice if this feature were available on other multi-item objects

    It'd be nice if this feature were available on other multi-item objects as well, like Address and Full Name.

    I believe I sort of understand what you are getting at but I'm not sure that I'm getting this ideal behind it for additional use in other objects. Did you have another target for this in mind as an example to us? I will happily pass this along to our Dev Team via a Feature Request once I understand you more.

    As far as I know this was mainly built due to targeted information within an notification that either was too little or too much so this was built as a way to allow further customization of what can be seen.

    What I mean is for the "Full Name" field or the "Address Field" all we have access to in the merge tags is the final result. It'd be nice, for instance, to say {fullname:first} or {address:state}.

    Fortunately, this option is available. Please see the following tutorial:

    For the Full Name field it will be:

    {fullName:first} and {fullName:last}
