Is there a way to limit the # of forms submitted

Asked by bonbeer on June 28, 2011 at 04:26 PM

Example, lets say I am hosting an event and only have space for the 1st 10 people who respond with my form.  Is there a way to "lock" out the 11th person to respond with a response like Sorry but....

    Hi guys,

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately you cannot limit the number of submissions for a form at this time. The workaround for now is to monitor your form's submissions report and manually disable the form once it reaches the maximum valid submissions you want to accept.

To disable a form, open the form on the form builder and set "Status: Disabled" from the Preferences button on the toolbar.

Hope you find this helpful. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Any word if this function may be in future builds? Any way we can add it to the "wish-list/nice 2 have"

Dropbox has a way for users to submit improvement ideas and then vote to see what users really need/want for the next build

This may be something to look at :)

Jotforms and Dropbox are neck-n-neck as my all time fav webmaster tools :)

Indeed, the ability to limit subscriptions is a nice addition to JotForm. Upon checking further, this is actually included our to do list already. This means our developers are already aware of this feature request. We can't commit to an exact delivery date, but we'll definitely inform you once it is in place.

I believe you're referring to Uservoice and Get Satisfaction. A user gets to submit ideas and then other users can vote for it. The support team can keep track of the popularity of the ideas, and the more votes it receives, the higher its priority for implementation becomes. We'll also include that in our to do list. Thank you for your suggestion!

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thanks again for using JotForm. We'll keep improving it for you, our valued members!
