Transferring field amount to paypal payment screen

Asked by slross on January 18, 2014 at 07:42 PM

    Hi,

I'm setting up a form for my website using the calculate fields option so that various fields with numeric values can be calculated to give a total price for the options selected (a selection of radios, drop downs and numeric text fields).

As there are many variables there are obviously many outcomes and therefore setting up all the possibilities as products in the Paypal widget is not feasable etc.  Is there a way so that the final calculated field total can be transferred to the Paypal payment screen at the click of a button so that the amount payable is there waiting for the customer rather than expecting them to enter the correct amount from memory to pay etc ?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, that's not possible in the form builder itself. You might be able to achieve that when you modify your form source code.

First, you have to add a PayPal payment tool to your form then choose "Custom Amount Payments". That will add a Paypal textbox on your form where you can enter a custom amount. You can use this textbox field for passing total values from the other field so when the user submits the form, the form will redirect to Paypal for the payment.

To pass the value, you have to use custom script and inject it to your form source code. If you need help with the script, let us know here so we can assist you.

    Regards!
