Spammed by Russian Mail Order Brides

    I put up a form to receive requests for product samples and catalogs.. I have had similar forms on my website for a couple years and get 1 or 2 requests per month.Last night I got about a dozen requests with nonsense addresses all from Russia and the Ukraine. I added Captcha to the form and made the unique submission setting strict... but I am still getting this junk.. all unique IP addresses.. all unique email addresses..What next?

    I am having a very similar problem. I am very concerned that these companies are hi-jacking my JotForm forms to not only send the spam to me - but using the JotForm script to send mass spam to countless others FROM my email address. What can we do to stop this????

    I took a look today at my google analytics and the hits are not coming from MY website.. they are accessing the jot form at the jot form URL.. (I believe)I am going to try cloning the form and deleting the form that is being spammed.. I will let you know what happens.

    I am on a free account trying out this service and I love it.. BUT.. if this kind of thing is going to be wasting my time I will be looking at some solutions from other sites..My next stop is a feature request to suggest an option to disable the form at the jotform URL.

    Thank you. I will probably try the same thing. I was told in previous responses from JotForm that I needed to redo my forms (I have lots of custom HTML), as they are in the old / pre JotForm upgrade code. And, unfortunately, I just don't have the time to do that right now.

    I have been a paying customer for 2+ years now. There are certainly bugs with the recently upgraded service, but even with the issues I have had - I still highly recommend JotForm. (The old system was easier to use. It certainly lacked features that are in this system, but I do mostly custom HTML anyway.) At any rate, I do recommend JotForm. They are good about Customer Service and do seem to care to help customers.

    We have investigated this issue and found out that because of an unrelated fix we made last week, CAPTCHAs were not being checked at all. This is fixed now. You should receive no further spam posts. Sorry about that.
