Approval Flow: Adding a comment without having to hit the "Undo" option

As an approver, I'm having trouble with adding a comment without having to hit the "Undo" option. How do I enter a comment as part of the approval process without having to hit "Undo" every time? I do not want to require a comment be entered; it should be optional. Thank you.

I did test the Approval Flows on one of my sample forms and I did notice that upon clicking either the approve or deny button in the email automatically approves/denies the submission and does not allow you to enter a comment. The only way I was able to work around this was by clicking the Undo button that appears at the top right of the page.
