    Hi.

We have a web design client who needs to be able to have new employees fill out paperwork online. They need new hires to be able to fill out IRS forms, emergency contact forms, non disclosure forms, etc. They are trying to go paperless. Is it possible to use Jotform for existing PDFs like IRS forms, etc? If so, I will encourage them to reach out and sign up. If not, do you have any suggestions?

    Hello Zak,

Yes, you can use existing PDFs in JotForm through our Smart PDF Forms builder. You only need to download the PDFs and upload them to the form builder to create a form.

Once the PDF is uploaded, most of the fields are automatically created and map. However, it's not a 100% perfect tool, so expect some design changes, which you need to manually fix.

If there are fields that are not created, you have to add and map them. The following user guide will help you link the form fields to the PDF fields:

Note that the Smart PDF Forms creates an online form version of your PDF. However, you can opt to generate the same PDF form but filled with the user's data.

I hope that helps. Please contact us again if we can help in any way.
