Is it possible to require one of many fields to be 'required'?

Asked by PJDJ4 on January 23, 2014 at 12:09 PM

For example, if leaving contact details, would it be possible for the form to require the user to enter their e-mail OR their home phone OR their mobile number?

    Hi,

You can only define fields on your form and mark it required, you cannot require/unrequire a field base on conditions. What you can do is to create two identical fields, one is required and one is not. You can then hide/show these fields depending on the selected value by condition. Is this what you are trying to achieved?

You can also use Matrix Tool, under Survey Tools with Text Box inputs then set its requirement to atleast one. Example:

Then open the Matrix field properties and set "Require at least one answer"

Should there be any questions, let us know here.

    Regards

That sounds good, thank you! Especially th matrix one, may have a play with that...

Also, condition based "requiring" could be a nice feature - it would make forms even more powerful! But this is good too!
