Force the format of the fields

Asked by David  on January 25, 2014 at 09:44 PM

I am trying to find a way to force the format of the field so for example when a user will type his information I would like the field to be format in a specific way, such as a capitalize css was apply to it and the result saved in the field and database would be : First Name: David instead of david or any other unwanted format.
Do you have a way to do this in your form builder cause I couldnt figure this out?

    Best regards

    Thank you for contacting us.

Its possible to insert CSS rules for each field, however, there is no rule that capitalizes the first letter only, but you can capitalize all the text in the field using such a rule:

    p.lowercase {text-transform:capitalize;} /**where p is the HTML id for your field. **/

You can find your field ID's using this guide.

However, with the form's source code, you could insert a JS script that scans and toggles the first letter if it is not in Uppercase. : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1026069/capitalize-the-first-letter-of-string-in-javascript
