How can I sell a product letting the user choose between "frame" or "no frame" with different prices

I have a similar question. I am selling artwork. Options are framed or unframed with different prices. Right now I have to put stock of 1 for each option, but there is only one piece of artwork.

also can the “sold out” be edited to say “sold”

If I've understood well your request, you might create two different products inside your Poduct List. One for the framed artwork, and another one for the unframed article:

Each of them will have its own stock option that you'll set as you need.

About your other request, you could change the text from sold out to sold by editing it from your form settings, by searching for the term "sold out":
