Hello,
I am trying to configure Stripe Checkout.
Everything seems fine other than the final payment button.
It says "Donate" instead of "Pay"
This happens whether I choose 'User Defined Amount' or 'Donation' as the type.
I cannot have the button say "Donate" as it is not for a donation.
Is there a workaround?

Hello,
Would it be possible to switch your payment widget from Stripe checkout to just Stripe? When you are submitting your form with checkout Stripe is redirecting you to a page of their own to process the payment instead of a form embedded inside yours. On their site we have no control of the form and no access to change the donate wording.
Using the Stripe widget instead will make it look like this.

Not really. we want Stripe Checkout because of the better conversion plus Google/Apple pay features.
Looking at the Stripe developer documentation, you (JotForm) can determine the submit button as "Donate" or "Pay" or "Book for"
https://stripe.com/docs/api/checkout/sessions/create#create_checkout_session-submit_type
why can't your developers set it up so
Donate = Donate
User Defined = Pay

Hello,
My guess would be if the user is defining the amount, there's more likely to be a donation aspect to it than not even if they are paying for a product instead of straight donation.
I will forward this as a feature request but there's no guarantee of it happening or an ETA of when it might get done. If anything happens with it you will be notified via this ticket.

Thanks for the response. Some non-donation cases of User Defined Amont include:
'Pay What You Want' - common with low ticket software
'Variable Payment' - paying part (but not all) of a large invoice
'Split Payment' - spreading large payment between multiple credit cards
(we have many cases of the last two)
