How do i get the email from jotform transferred into an excel spreadsheet?Asked by Will on January 29, 2014 at 11:32 PM
we use an ipad for our waiver to ride a mechanical bull. they use jotform to fill out the waiver and everytime they submit it, it goes to my email. we would like to use this info as data but its a hassle to open every email just to receive a name and phone number. i was wondering if there is some kind of program that would take all those emails and put it into a spreadsheet format?
Login to your jotform account. Click on my forms. Click on the form in question.. Click on submissions. That will display the list of submissions (obviously!) There will be a button lower left, I think it reads "excel" or "view in excel". That will open an excel spreadsheet and list your questions across the top row, and the answers submitted in rows below. You can also use the "reports" button to extract customized reports, charts and graphs.
Also, if you are getting an email then your firm must have an "auto responder" configured. You can modify or cancel that under the imbedding function. Sorry typing this on my phone....
Thank you for contacting us. agcruise is right, you may go to the form's submission page and download all your submissions to an XLS format or CSV format. However, you need to redownload and do this again every time there is a new submission.
On the other hand, yes using Excel Reports is one of the options as well. It will generate a unique link that never changes in which you can immediately open in a browser and will offer you a direct download to the updated Excel file. Please refer to our guide How to create Excel Reports.
