Asked by ijsmale on January 30, 2014 at 11:48 AM

I was unable to log in for three days  what is going on?    https://www.jotform.com/   is all messed up.    My forms are not displaying correctly.

This page down in the   "Yearly Membership Type / Amount*  "  area  all the options are running together instead of being on separate lines in point form.    What's happening?

We haven't received reports about such a problem from any other users and currently there are 1200 people online on the site. It might be a problem on your end. Can you try a different browser and see if that fixes the problem?

Unfortunately, the screenshot did not come through. Can you upload it here and send us the URL?

Regarding the form question. I checked the form but I don't see the same problem:

https://www.jotform.com/  is still appears all messed up like the screen shot I uploaded.   Also   https://www.chryslerclub.org/join.php  is still not appearing correctly.

I believe I know what is happening here. The same problem happens to me sometimes as well on occasion but a quick refresh or two usually resolves it but though it's pretty rare for me. As far as I know I don't think that it is our platform that is doing this.

I am under the definite impression that it is the anti-hackware and system cleaning software I am using that does this. I can state this from my own personal experience because it doesn't occur at all on my computer when I tested it beforehand with the Softwares removed. It's known that some softwares can interfere with your browser's default data reading configurations especial with internet.

The 3 programs I am running on my computer on my end that cause this problem at random are:

    (1) Comodo Internet Security

    (2) Malwarebytes

    (3) Glary Utilities Pro

This makes me wonder if you are running anything similar to the defensive programs I am using?

I un-installed Malwarebyes,  then cleared the DNS Cache again,  cleared the browser cache,  and rebooted this computer.   The Jotform web site now looks normal but my form still does not  display correctly.    https://www.chryslerclub.org/join.php  It appears like this instead of in a vertical bulleted point display.

This is happening on my mac as well.  The site was fine for a while today and now it is having problems again.  This can't be a browser issue, it performs like this on all browsers - firefox, chrome, and safari on a brand new mac with no anti-virus.

    See screenshot ==> http://screencast.com/t/0JyiouoP1bE

It was literally working earlier today - I feel like something is happening at jotform Im sure, not individual computers.

I have had a problem since yesterday, that when I go to the login page, the icons continually jump to the left then back, not giving enough time to login. Once I do manage to login, everything's sweet.

I have IE and Chrome and it does the same for both; I use AVG security, which I have always had on and it never had problems before yesterday.

So now the problem seems to be only with the secure site

https://www.jotform.com   is the one giving the issue and I cannot log in from here.

http://www.;jotform.com  seems to be working fine,  but I would rather use the secured page than the non-secured page to log in.   So yes, I can log in here and edit my forms,  but they still do not display correctly

    https://www.chryslerclub.org/join.php   is not displaying correctly

I am able to view your form properly in your website https://www.chryslerclub.org/join.php

I could see it was embedded using secure URL https://secure.jotform.com/jsform/73035741478

Can you please try using this direct URL https://www.jotformpro.com/form/73035741478 of the form. Tell us if you are able to view the form properly.

If it does already, try using it instead in your website like this https://www.jotformpro.com/jsform/73035741478

We will wait for your update.

I have cleared the cache and  the DNS Cache several times with NO results.  Everything still appears the same on all my computers.    If I log in using  the non secure page  http://www.jotform.com I can log in and see my forms,  but I cannot log in using https://www.jotform.com ( the page is messed up) but now I can log in on https://www.jotformpro.com  . Yesterday I could not log in on that one.

My forms are still not displaying correctly on any of my computers, either. Everything on the Jotform site seems to keep changing.

    Hi Ian,

Thanks for your cooperation, we greatly appreciate it.

Do you have some sort of security add-ons or any add-ons installed on your browsers? Can you please try disabling those temporarily and recheck the page? If you have also some other security applications (like internet security) running on your PC, please try to temporarily disable it and check if that makes any difference.

I am from PH location but like my colleagues who are also from different part of the globe, I cannot reproduce the problem. Your form appears to be fine on my end.

Please continue to update us if the problem still persists.

    Regards!

Hey Ian, I do apologize for this becoming such a problem to you. I've been doing some further research and testing to figure out and rack my brain on a possible solution to help combat this problem but other then changing up the login domain prefix I'm certain just yet other then to try to figure out a way to load the site ahead of time when it's working for you possible. Still trying to work with this problem and if I think of something to help I will let you know.

In my searching I've come to 2 conclusions...

    (1) Some software such as MBam or Others can block important IP's due to false positive detections inaccurately setting of the program. How is this a problem? I believe this is when our web server loads a cached CSS File to your computer through an external source in the page. If that's blocked or gets blocked for whatever reason then it would cause the whole visual display of the page to be severed and fail.

    (2) There is also a high probability that in the mix of the above problem that I mentioned. There could additionally be possibility that either your connection isn't quite getting fully connected to our webserver or if it is it might be getting dropped out with too many requests so thus the CSS File would fail to load in this instance as well. This is fairly common during high peak times on servers or server localizations using too much bandwidth in your area perhaps putting it at risk. This would be why you are seeing the page but it is only displaying via html and not with the css and visuals for a nice clean look as normally expected.

I know you mentioned it's happening with https:// I think but one of my colleagues has pointed out it's the opposite for him where https:// works fine but http:// does not. I had switched over to https:// myself as well. Maybe on your end you could try the opposite if you have not done so already? Please try testing this some more on your end. Additionally try checking your firewall and mbam to make sure none of our IP's are being blocked since it's important that our webserver be allowed to load them onto your computer. If I can think of anything more I will let you know.

Hi Jotform support, I don't know why you are lying to customers saying that no other users are experiencing this or have reported this when I reported this along with many other users over the past weeks, your troubleshooting steps have not worked and regardless, I've never had to go through this much trouble with trying to flush dns, cache, different browsersm etc. on any other major website for an extended period of time, I find it strange that instead of investigating the cause of this issue you seem to act as if any user who reports is, is an entirely unique situation that no one has ever been effected by before, which is straight up dishonest. I appreciate your support and quick responses to issues but it's frustrating to see issues not truly be investigated.

Also note that none of your fixes worked for above user either after extensive troubleshooting your suggestions for what could be wrong and it being a user's browser / network connection do not seem to be giving any indication as the source of the problem.

Thank you for your input. We are actively testing access to the site, trying to replicate the behavior reported to us. The nature of the problem described in this thread does give way to many points of faliure that may cause this to happen. Which makes it a challenge to isolate when reports of faliure contradict normal behavior from others.

Rest assure that we are aware of the what is being described by some users, and we are actively looking into what has been reported.

    Thank you again.
