    Can the {pdf-link} be hyperlinked.

Asked by nisciencepark on January 31, 2014 at 05:25 AM

Hi there, I followed ta previous article: http://www.jotform.com/answers/291551-Can-the-pdf-link-Show-as-different-text?entrymessage=10732640770

I followed this exactly but it appears not to work for me.

The link it is giving me is: http://submit.jotformpro.com/http://submit.jotformpro.com/server.php?action=getSubmissionPDF&sid=256673347601991168&formID=40266080595961

Of course this brings up a 404 error because it is calling the root URL twice: http://submit.jotformpro.com/http://submit.jotformpro.com

    When I click on the Link icon on the thank you page it appears to have changed the html link URL to /{pdf-link}
If I try to remove the '/' it just keeps coming back again.

    Maybe you can help.

    Many Thanks

The sample code provide by our colleague Mike_T on that thread actually works.

I tried this code on my test form

    <a target="_blank" href="{pdf-link}" >Download Your Submission PDF</a>

The linked PDF code result is like this

and it is a valid PDF file that I was able to download and read.

Here is the test form you can try. Test submit the form, to see in the Thank You page the hypherlinked PDF file.

Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.

    Hi there,

I just tested and the PDF link is broken. See how it appears: http://submit.jotform.me/http://submit.jotform.me/server.php?action=getSubmissionPDF&sid=261116892926311143&formID=40303035280439

    It has an extra: http://submit.jotform.me/

    Very strange!

    Hi Andy,

This thread was quite old, and I think the method previously described does not work anymore since our form have undergone some updates also.

BUT I found workaround that work also. I used the regular insert link tool in the editor and manually set the link to the PDF submission of the form using the submission ID and form ID.

    The link is like this

the submission ID is the {id}.

You can again test my test form http://form.jotform.me/form/40303035280439 to see it works.

Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.
