Convert a Form to an Android App?Asked by t3rra on February 01, 2014 at 05:57 PM
I have a client who would like a simple 6 question jotform converted into an android app. I dont think that can be done on jotform.com, but wanted to make sure. Also, I've seen lots of sites that allow you to convert other websites into android apps...I'm wondering if I could create a form on JotForm, embed it into a simple site, then convert that sites page to an android app via the online app making sites? Thank you for any suggestions.
There is already an Android App in JotForm
What it does is allow receiving of submissions in Android app.
I suggest you also read for more details about it in the google groups page
Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.
Thank you for the reply. What I meant to say was, is there a way to create an app, that has a form in it, without knowing how to code an android app?
Great, thank you. I also found www.appypie.com, which is very easy to set up, though somewhat limited and has a small monthly fee. Trying appsgeyser.com now.
Unfortunately, all www.appypie.com really does is create a advanced HTML page that points to links, it doesn't really make an app of any kind, maybe a glorified launcher at best.
I think what i would be asking is "do you have something to turn these forms into a APK executable file?" and can it be launched like an app?
The problem with this, and why it won't be done is that suddenly the code becomes yours and you sorta don't need JotForm anymore....sorta defeats their business.
@Kilroy5150 - To give way to the OP, I have moved your question to a separate thread https://www.jotform.com/answers/941106
We'll have it addressed there shortly.
